Below is a collection of educational assignments and projects completed using some of the many new technologies available to todays educators.
First is a power point presentation about a year in human history that I found interesting and important. see if you can guess the year before the final slide.
Next is a collection of web tools with a few examples that are helpful to educators, and can be used for many purposes in the classroom today.
WallWisher.com is a Web 2.0 tool that allows you to create a wall, or virtual message board, that can be covered with virtual sticky notes, or stickies of information. This wall can be viewed and added to by anyone, or just select individuals of your choosing. I created a wall to tie in the information presented in my sushi lesson, so that students can go back and reference it at any time. They can also post their own stickies with more sushi information, videos and other references. Students can also post personal thoughts or experiences to share with the class. This allows information and student contributions to be accessible to anyone interested long after the lesson is over. Check out my example here.
